JODIE - Lead Singer/Percussion

In 1997 I found my singing voice when joining the South West Rock and Roll band 'Rough Terrain'.

Live performances in many venues around Australia as part of the three part acoustic band 'Spirit' in 2001 - 2002.

2003, reappeared on the UK scene in function band 'Station West'.

Now performing with experienced members of 'The Lyrics'… Happy days!

JAMIE - Lead Guitarist/Vocalist

A self-taught guitarist, I have been playing since I was 15. I started gigging aged 18 in the pubs and clubs of Devon.

I also play the bagpipes.

Played in lots of different bands, covering many different styles including heavy metal, folk, rock and caberet. Previous bands include Synopsis, Small Town Static, Funkenstein, The Little White Lies, The Lateshift…..

… and now The Lyrics!

PETE - Guitarist/Vocalist

I started playing guitar whilst at school and played for a local pantomime group. During this time, I formed a band with other panto musicians and the panto's 'principal boy' and we played at weddings and other party events.

A few years of writing and recording followed with Matthew Mark Productions, a local drama group who staged musical shows at Exeter's Barnfield Theatre and other local venues.

After a lengthy absence from the music scene with just a few solo performances, I joined the folk group 'Cross Border'. I have a wide range of musical tastes, from jazz to indie rock and particularly like the Eagles, James Taylor and Coldplay.

TERRY - Drums/Vocalist

1970s /1980s Drummer with disco/showband called 'After Eight', also pop/rock band called 'Nightshift', and cabaret/dance band 'Heritage', all based on the south coast but working across London and the South-East.

Having moved to Devon in 1990, returned to playing Bass guitar, most notably with the function band 'Split Decision' and 'Station West'.

Also ventured into original music with 'Cole Stacey and the Story', playing Bass and percussion on many of Cole's gigs during his 2011/12 UK tour.

JON - Bass

I started playing bass in the early 1990s.

I have played in a number of local bands over the last 30 years ranging from 'Synopsis' - covering rock standards in local pubs in Tiverton - to 'Funkenstein' - a full costume disco band playing large functions all over the Southwest - and everything in between (yes, including that acid jazz fad in the 1990s).

I enjoy bringing my love of tech into the band and experimenting with new ideas and gadgets to enhance the sound.
